IDT Project Experience
So, I had a lot of fun putting this project together. I learned a lot of the history on the dessert: cheesecake. Even though, this is one of my favorite desserts to eat, I never knew where it came from and how it transformed into the cheesecake I love so much. My favorite activity was creating the Infograph is. I have always liked doing it but this time I had the freedom to create whatever I wanted. It was a great experience creating the training course. Thinking back, I wonder what part of the project I could improve on and I wish I created my own video on how to make cheesecake. That way I could explain while I go through each steps. Another video I could of created is try making the cheesecake the way it was first made. Lastly, going over the other ingredients that were important in making the dessert.

Augmented Reality
Smartphones have grown in popularity over the years and it's strange when young people don't have one. Most young people only use their smartphone for their own entertainment rather than for educational purposes (homework, studying, research, etc.) For me, it depends where I am; if I am home I will either use my laptop or tablet. But if I am away from home, I will use my smartphone to do schoolwork. As a matter of fact, I am typing this up using my smartphone. Google offers a way teachers can bring abstract objects to life. You can totally inspire creativity in your students using this tool. Getting that buzz when using new technology will grab the learners attention and keep them. I never heard about augmented reality until now, but hope I get hands-on experience with it. It is a great learning experience to go through.

Assessments in the Classroom
There are many components when it comes to teaching a class and one of those components are assessments; i.e criterion-referenced tests. These tests measure the students' performances against a learning objective. These tests can include multiple choices, true or false, open-ended or any type of mixture of these questions. These test could be very important as the Star Testing or less important like a quiz. Some examples of criterion-based tools are google forms, kahoot, quizlet, and online games like Jeopardy. I have used these tools before being in the teacher's role and the student's role. I have witnessed how much the students enjoy when the teachers use tools like kahoot or other games in the classroom because the kids love competition. Another thing that I wanted to mention was the experience I had with the podcast activity. It was very interesting doing the activity and it took a couple of tries to get the audio the way I want. I was actually kind of nervous because I wanted to come off as a conversational style instead of a script, so I am not sure if I did well in that department. But it was great practice!

Traditional Training to the New Way
Work environments are fast paced with new modern workers. These modern workers are able to learn new things and acquire new skills. The traditional approach to training is not efficient for these new workers. There are three big things that need to be looked at: cost, speed, and simplicity. So let's start off with cost. Training is not cheap and it's not worth it all the time. It cost a lot of money to get classroom facilities, teachers, and travel. Even though you save money having e-learning courses the development of these courses is expensive. The biggest issue that companies have is the cost to have these workers away from their job. To have a great business with skillful employees; you need to provide good training, but to what extent? Next is speed. Classroom training takes time to get through especially for a large group. On the other hand, e-learning allows delivering content to a large group all at the same time. The downfall is that it will take a long time to create extra time to update when needed. The last thing is simplicity. Its the main goal businesses want because if they could provide a simple training that will get the job done faster is a better choice. Tools and resources can be provided to the employees frequently to help them. At my job, they hold a staff meeting every month to give new training or pass out resources to keep up updated.

Testing Day!
Assessments are used to evaluate students' learning. There are two different types of assessments: formative and summative. Formative assessment is used to monitor the students' learning through the learning process. On the other hand, summative assessment s used at the end to assess the overall learning; this helps assign grades. Examples of formative assessments are exit tickets, quizzes, classroom polls, and research papers. All of these will e assign during the quarters of the school year. They focus on smaller content areas. Summative assessments are like exams such as midterms and finals. In addition, final projects and state testing are considered to be summative.
The issues that arise when it comes to formative assessment is that teachers may use this type of assessment just as a grade instead of using it as a way to gather data and feedback. This could help improve learning in the classroom if it is used correctly. Summative assessment's data is used to hold the schools accountable, inform parents and monitor performances The negative impact that it can have is if the main focus is on the test instead of the children's learning. Children can also feel discouraged or nervous about taking the test which can lead to low test scores. Lastly, summative assessments do not test all qualities including creativity, big-picture thinking, motivation, and leadership.

Hands-On Experience

Weebly is a cool website builder and the best part is that it is free! I have only known about Wix and used in the past to create a class portfolio. So, this is a tool that you can use to create online store websites for your personal business and websites that can showcase your talent or skills. I can't wait to explore the features on the website and show my creative side.

Working on this Group Theory Presentation showed how to use Google tools (Docs, Slides, etc.) as a way to collaborate with others. It was a very simple way to come together with information on identity theory and make comments on the side of the document to give feedback to each other. Then using the slides tool we can both work on the presentation at the same time. Having hands-on experience with this will help in the future when I teach a course. I enjoy doing these types of projects.

Logos
Learning about the endless resources to create logos was cool to explore. I am still reviewing each tool that was provided. When I was thinking of a logo to create I wanted it to show my personality in it. I found an image that was one of my favorite animals with vibrant colors and one word that describes me. Logos play a big role in a company, it could help the company grow into an empire or destroy it. They also have a big impact on the consumers because depending on the logo and how popular they are people will surround themselves with those symbols. Nowadays people always want the product that is part of the trend.
